Last week was like stepping in Hell's freezor or a winter in the Klondike. At least the Cowboy Action shoot at the Mima Marauder's was fun, even though it was 22F -- ing degrees. I shot my 2nd Clean Shoot and wasn't in last place, so all was good.
The lil' woman, Big Red, has to go in tomorrow for a biopsy. Any prayers in this direction are appreciated Pards. We're going with a big smile and hopes for the best.
On a funny note: one of the photo E-Lists I'm on had folks calling me a "euro-bashing hate-monger" ! GASP! I feel like Michael Bane. All I said was that most european countries are afraid that their citizens might try to take over the government if they were allowed to own 120 year old Single-Action revolvers- ROFLMAO. Serious jealousy of freedom over there~;-)

What a week!
Pirates, tornadoes, Tea Party's, States seceding the union, happy reunion's, 20" deep snow storms and now President Obama wants American Citizens to stop reloading their own ammunition to save the government of Mexico! SIGH!
Target shooters and hunters can't afford to buy ammunition (or find any for sale), so have legally reloaded their own for generations. Now many in the US government want to make those home reloaders into criminals, under the guise of stopping Mexican drug gangs. The gun-grabbers will try anything to circumvent the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution.
At least our weather is getting warmer and flowers are blooming ~;-)

Sunshine! At Last ~;-)
Blue skies and warming temperatures finally made it to the Pacific Northwest this weekend! Ahhhh, Spring time at last.
Peni and I are heading out to the Nisqually Game Refuge today. It's our last chance before they bulldoze the dike that rimmed the outer refuge and they later they'll build a boadwalk trail. Every time we've enjoyed the nateral beauty of Nisqually we see something different. From Blue Heron's to otters, cotton-tail rabbits, coyote, muskrat, Bald Eagles and the rare box turtle.
Tomorrow it'll be warm, just not so sunny. We will pack some shootin' irons out to the Capitol City shooting range and have a 'Blast' plinking at targets.
Hope to see you there Pards.

Almost Spring?
Un-Spring like snow fell again this morning in the North-Wet. Only an inch here in the south sound, but they got much more up the Hood Canal area. Turning to heavy rain later this morning.
Still, much better than my friend Steve in North Dakota. DEEP snow and sub-zero temps up near Fargo. Great for black & white photography, as long as you like WHITE!
What's it like in your part of the world?

Just A'Pourin'
Got Rain?
Well, it's Spring in the Great North-Wet! Wind is a-blowin' and the rain is falling like Cats-N-Dogs (I know because I stepped in a poodle ~;-).
Nice day for a great warm breakfast of ham and eggs, and watchin' a fishin' show on cable. I know we could be watching the NEWS, but how depressing is that? We're looking forward to the next Cowboy Action Shooting Match at Littlerock, WA. The Blackriver Regulators put on a great shoot the 4th Saturday of every month. If you'd like to participate or just watch come by, the gates always unlocked during the match. I guarantee you'll have FUN!

Giddy Yapp!
I figured I might just join in this century's mode of communication. So, who is Flash Powder Hal?
I support and compete in the shooting sports, mostly SASS, Single Action Shooting Society (also known as Cowboy Action Shooting). I hang around quite a bit in the SASS forum's Saloon, with great friends like: Flint McCloud an Ms. Maggie, Okie Sawbones an Wildcat Carole, Dynamite Dalton an his Darlin', Montana Slick, Badger Mountain Charlie and Willie Wheelgun ...... just to name a few. Not enuff space to list them all, but they're GREAT Pards, one and all!
My best friend and spouse, Big Red Penny, attend shoots in Washington State and Oregon (s0 far). And we both have FUN, in everything we do together!!!
I'll try to keep ya' up to date on what goes on at our lil' Hacienda in the Pacific Northwest.
